July is UV Safety Awareness Month

The American Academy of Dermatology recognizes July as UV Awareness Month, reminding us that sun protection is important at every age, especially for older adults, whose skin becomes more vulnerable to UV damage over time.

Sun Safety Tips for Seniors:
• Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
• Wear a wide-brimmed hat and UV-blocking sunglasses.
• Choose lightweight clothing that covers your arms and legs when possible.
• Stay in the shade during peak sun hours (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
• Don’t forget to stay hydrated while enjoying the outdoors!

A few simple precautions can help you safely enjoy everything summer has to offer.

Happy Birthday, Phil!

This month, Phillip Hanna, a client in Wrentham, celebrated his birthday! We were honored to be part of his special day.

A special thank you to Dawn, one of our dedicated caregivers, for going the extra mile by surprising Phil with flowers and a birthday cupcake. Thoughtful gestures like these reflect the compassion and personal connections our caregivers build with the clients they serve.

Happy Birthday, Phil! We wish you a wonderful year ahead.
