Hydration Reminder for Older Adults

As we age, our sense of thirst can decrease, making it easier to become dehydrated.

Quick Tips:

• Keep water within reach throughout the day
• Drink a glass of water with meals and snacks.
• Enjoy hydrating foods like watermelon, oranges, cucumbers, and soups.
• Watch for signs of dehydration, including dry mouth, fatigue, dizziness, and dark-colored urine.

Staying hydrated helps support energy, digestion, and overall health!

Making the Most of the Nice Weather

As the weather gets warmer, there’s no better time to enjoy the outdoors. Recently, Family Pride client Tony enjoyed a beautiful afternoon boating in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, with Family Pride owner Kevin Campbell. With sunshine, fresh air, and scenic waterfront views, it was a wonderful day spent making memories and enjoying the start of summer.

Expanding Our Community Partnerships

Family Pride is excited to announce new partnerships that will enhance the support and services available to our clients.

Through our partnership with the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI), we are recruiting nursing students to join our caregiving team, providing valuable hands-on experience while helping meet the growing needs of our clients.

We are also partnering with Johnson & Wales University, where culinary students will assist with meal preparation for clients, helping ensure access to nutritious, thoughtfully prepared meals.

These collaborations reflect our commitment to innovative care, community involvement, and supporting the next generation of healthcare and service professionals.
